“TURNING POINT- Three Projects“

Omnibus performances with a mixture of the festival instructors, workshop participants and the past and future projects. At the turning point of the festival three gorgeous performances are put on the stage.

Performance1

Jung Young-Doo from Korea stays in Kyoto for three weeks and tries out an experimental performance together with dancers. This performance will be a prototype of the work commemorating the 15th anniversary of the festival in 2010.

Lighting system by Takayuki FUJIMOTO of dumb type and “Lost” -a solo dance- by Yuko MORI, making the best use of the LED lighting system which is used in this year’s new workshop “Media and Dance”.

Symposium “Ability & Disability"

Injuries and illness just before the performing date, accidents during rehearsals, and etc. This symposium aims to offer a venue for communicating with others and for sharing knowledge on those risks so that dancers and stage-related people can accumulate the knowledge and prepare countermeasures against such incidents.

Director/Secretary-General of an nonprofit organization the Total Health Care for Artists Japan. She was in charge of planning and implementation of corporate programs at a sport club management company, and of health care in the Human Resource Department of an IT company. In Autumn 2005, she joined the team of establishing the Total Health Care for Artists Japan. She is now actively promoting their motto of “Vigor of Artists is the source of vigor of society!”

Launched the Supplements Division in Ezaki Glico. Thorough and complete in his profession and tries out by himself all candidate ingredients of supplements for new developments. Active as instructor on body conditioning for professional athletes, lecturer, writer and others. Works as conditioning coach for Mr. Keiji Muto, professional wrestler of Japan.

Video Salon -Lunch time - holiday version
free of charge/application not required

The customary annual event to enjoy selected dance videos. This year’s theme is “Edit seeing./Seeing is editing”. You may bring your own lunch; watch the videos lying on the tatami-mats. A “Gonzo Supervision Day” is planned during the period inviting Contact Gonzo as a guest for a video showing and talks.

Meirin Body Salon

You will never be able to escape from body care and troubles as a dancer. During the Festival, a Body Care Corner will be open. Applications will be received at the site.
